County Commission Public Hearing on Fruitville Initiative Plan--- October 27---9AM, 1660 Ringling Blvd, Sarasota

County and five private landowners want to build a urban style mega-development east of I-75 adjacent to our  Rural Heritage Neighborhood.

Their current plan would allow big box stores (think Wal-Mart), anchor retail stores, over 1,000 new homes and apartments, offices, hotels, and industrial development.
